This newsletter serves as an update and reminder regarding the "Class of '97 Reunion" reunion. Votes and email addresses are still outstanding and we need everyone’s opinions and preferences regarding our upcoming 10-yr reunion! Voting closes 15th June 2007. Planning will proceed with the responses received from this date.
After meeting with TVHS Principle (Mr. Southgate) and Deputy Principle (Ms. Cummings), they welcomed the idea of hosting the first ever "recognised" class reunion.
The Planning
Currently we have over 110 email addresses of our 180 fellow class mates. Send Georgina, any past pupil emails so that we can update the contact database for future emails. Please Note: Reunion communications will ONLY be done via newsletter emails & our BLOG SITE .
Proposed Reunion Activities
The following activities are proposed for the Class of ’97 Reunion:
FIRST OPTION: Is a family-orientated, fun-filled Saturday, where the "Class of '97" past pupils can bring partners, parents, kids, grannies and even aunts and uncles.
· A meet and greet at TVHS hall
· A trip down memory lane and walk through TVHS grounds
· An "old girls" Netball Match
· An "old boys" Rugby Match
· A catered braai on the Rugby Field grounds (after the match). Prices will be charged per head with discount rate for kids.
SECOND OPTION: A hosted Saturday dinner/dance (formal or casual) at TVHS, which will feature catered foods and excellent music. Prices will vary upon attendance and will be charged on a per attendee basis.
Bare in mind that we can have a combination of these two options, and create a full day of events to recap the last ten years! The more we work together now the more we will be able to enjoy when the day finally comes! It's up to us to decide on how great we want to make this day.
Currently, we have received the below 41 responses:
We hope to provide further clarification on the voted Reunion date and activity and most of all, what costs will be involved. Please note: charges are only for food consumed/entertainment(music) hired - if option 2 is selected. The Reunion is a not-for-profit cause as Mr. Southgate has graciously let us use the grounds at no cost.
We thank you for your time and we need responses ASAP. Voting closes 15th June 2007.
Best regards,
Dina Sayias and Georgina Block
